[Curling up next to Rory on the couch, Amy could barely keep a smile off of her face as she looked up at him again.] So...We should go do something tonight. Since it's Christmas Eve and all.

[Amy stood there in the loo, eyes on the thing she was holding in her hand before she finally spoke up. Calling her husband. ] Rory. [She tried to sound causal, but there was an edge to her tone that wasn't quite describable.]

[It’s been six months since the Doctor left them and things were beginning to feel like a routine. Amy was still looking for work because it could get lonely at the house during the day and sometimes nights, depending on Rory’s shift. She still missed the Doctor and the adventures, but it was a lot more bearable now. Being away from all that excitement. Still, she yearned for it at times. She was just glad that Rory had gone through this with her, that she didn’t have to keep this to herself in fear of being thought of as mental. She had to deal with that enough when she was a kid.

Her thoughts were currently on Melody, her daughter. She thought about her a lot, still wishing she had raised her properly. She felt like she missed a lot of her milestones even if they had experienced them together. It was early in the morning and she couldn’t sleep, so instead of tossing and turning on the bed and disturbing Rory she had gone downstairs to get some breakfast. She hadn’t brushed her hair or gotten changed out of her nightie but she was so tired that she just couldn’t care at this point. Head resting in her hand as she waited for her cereal to cool she traced the lines of the wooden table absentmindedly.]

6:56. That's what Amy's clock read, four minutes until she was supposed to meet Rory at the Wig and Farkin. A small restaurant in Leadworth, the food was decent for the price of it and sometimes she and her friends went there when they were bored. Tossing things into her handbag like her phone, lip balm and money Amy looked up at the time again and cursed when she saw she now had three minutes to get to the restaurant. Hollering to her aunt that she was going out and would be back later, Amy stuffed her feet into her trainers and hurried out the door.

Walking in quick long strides, Amy looked to her left when she heard someone say her name and smiled at Jeff's grand mother politely before reaching into her handbag to see what time it was. She still had two minutes and she sighed in relief before slowing her pace, Amy could see the Wig and Farkin straight ahead as she passed Everson's general store. Wondering if Rory was waiting outside she turned her head a bit to see past the sign for Broderick bookstore to see if he was there or not.

Amy awoke to find herself sitting upright in her bed and breathing heavily. Trying to regain her composure, Amy played over the nightmare she had just experienced even though it was already slipping away from her. It didn't make much sense now, at least as to why it had scared her so badly, but she couldn't shake the feeling of despair. Looking around her, Amy stared at her dresser drawer for a moment before opening the draw and pulling out the box that held a ring in it. She had more or less stolen it from the Doctor when she found it in his coat pocket, but she couldn't help but feel there was a certain...something about it. It was frustrating, like she was forgetting something.

Deciding sleep wasn't an option right now, Amy pushed back the covers and got out of bed. Wrapping her robe around her she stuffed the box into the pocket and headed out to go get something to eat, maybe go to the entertainment room and watch a film.

Amy had more or less passed out on the bed after feeding Melody and setting her back in her cot. However when she awoke the next morning she noticed that Melody wasn't in her cot. Panicking when she noticed Rory was sleeping right next to her she quickly got out of bed and immediately started to look for her.

Even though she should've realised there could be no way that the woman with they eye patch could get in here, she wasn't exactly all there at the moment. Rushing downstairs to the console she called out to the Doctor. "Doctor! I think someone took Melody!" She managed to choke out.

Amy was starting to have feelings for someone. Nothing wrong with that right? Wrong because the boy she was starting to like was Rory Williams, her childhood friend. It was weird because most of her life she never saw Rory as anything but a good friend, a really good friend. Okay if she was being honest with herself, which she wasn't, she had feelings for Rory for a while now. She just denied it anytime anyone asked her if she fancied Rory, telling them he was just a good friend was all. Who just happened to be a boy. Except for one silly moment she had confided in her aunt, needing advice on what she should do. Big mistake. In aunt Sharon's words Rory was a 'sensitive boy' and she wouldn't want to see him get hurt. Funny how quick she was to take Rory's side and assume that Amy didn't realised that she could possibly be putting their friendship on the line.

Currently Amy was laying on her bed, staring up at her ceiling as her mind wandered. Turning her head to look at her mobile resting on her nightstand she bit the inside of her cheek as she contemplated calling Rory up. Amy wasn't the type of person to talk about her feelings too often, but she felt the urge to see where they stood growing stronger the more she thought about it. Exhaling sharply Amy rolled over onto her stomach and reached for her phone. Entering his number her thumb hesitated by the 'call' button before she forced herself to push it and brought the phone up to her ear, mouth suddenly dry. In a way she was hoping he wouldn't pick up in an attempt to save herself from humiliation.

After a rather restless night sleep, Amy stumbled her way to the control room. Her hair seemed to have a mind of its own and her nightie was wrinkled even after her poor attempt at smoothing it with her hands. "Morning." Amy said with a yawn as she entered the room, expecting the Doctor to be there.
