Amy was still looking for work because it could get lonely at the house during the day and sometimes nights, depending on Rory’s shift. She still missed the Doctor and the adventures, but it was a lot more bearable now. Being away from all that excitement. Still, she yearned for it at times. She was just glad that Rory had gone through this with her, that she didn’t have to keep this to herself in fear of being thought of as mental. She had to deal with that enough when she was a kid.
Her thoughts were currently on Melody, her daughter. She thought about her a lot, still wishing she had raised her properly. She felt like she missed a lot of her milestones even if they had experienced them together. It was early in the morning and she couldn’t sleep, so instead of tossing and turning on the bed and disturbing Rory she had gone downstairs to get some breakfast. She hadn’t brushed her hair or gotten changed out of her nightie but she was so tired that she just couldn’t care at this point. Head resting in her hand as she waited for her cereal to cool she traced the lines of the wooden table absentmindedly.]
