"Oh, I can see that," the Doctor said helpfully. Amy seemed to spend more time falling or nearly-but-not-quite falling that she hadn't worked in much actual skating.

He watched Amy continue to do very, very poorly at ice-skating, her knees going every which way. She seemed to be doing better with someone to hold her hand (literally) and for a moment he had hope that she might be salvageable on the ice-skating front. Then she had the brilliant idea to let go.

Of course she went down like a sack of flour.

The Doctor tried not too look too amused. He failed. "They've had loads more practice. Possibly a genetic disposition toward ice skating. It's been known to happen," the Doctor came to a stop and stopped to help her up from the ice. "Clearly not in your case, I'd say."
